Two and a half weeks after Hurricane Isaias, WaterColor is busy again in the places that hold its November calendar. Mountainfilm on Tour is still scheduled for the Marina Park Amphitheater on November 6 and 7. Firefest 30A is still on the Community Association calendar for Cerulean Park on November 11. Weekly live music and trivia at the Beach Club continue through mid-month.
Most of what is still closed lies along the water: a beach boardwalk, two of the Beach Club's pools, the nature trails, and the dunes the county is working out how to rebuild. Plan your month around that split. The lawns and the town center are ready. The Gulf edge will take longer.
The Center Reopened In About Four Days
The core of WaterColor came back fast. WaterColor Inn reopened on October 13. The Beach Club, Camp WaterColor, the Marina Pool and the Tennis Center followed on October 14, with some restrictions. Outside the gates, Pizza by the Sea in WaterColor was serving its full menu again by October 12.
The resort's Hurricane Isaias weather update is the most recent official picture. It is dated Thursday, October 22, and this is where WaterColor stood that day:
| Amenity | Status as of Oct. 22, 2026 |
|---|---|
| WaterColor Inn, hotel pool, fitness center | Open, regular hours |
| Beach Club main pool | Open |
| Beach Club Infinity Pool, second deck | Temporarily closed |
| Beach Club Zero-Entry Pool, lower third deck | Temporarily closed |
| Beach access via Mid and West Boardwalks | Open, setups available |
| ADA Boardwalk | Temporarily closed |
| Marina, Dragonfly and Sandhill pools | Open |
| Camp WaterColor | Open, regular hours |
| Tennis Center | Open, regular hours |
| Town Center retail, including WaterColor Store and WaterColor Kids | Open, regular hours |
| WaterColor BoatHouse | Open, regular hours |
Everything inland on that list is open. Every closure involves the beach or the Beach Club's infinity and zero-entry pools, the part of the property built nearest the Gulf. The resort says reopening dates and hours can still change as cleanup continues, so check that page before heading out.
For dining, the resort's dining page lists Fish Out Of Water, Gather Kitchen + Bar, WaterColor Grill, Costa Chica, Beach Cow and The Canteen, along with in-room dining. Some places along 30A reopened with limited menus or shorter hours after the storm, so confirm a specific restaurant's schedule before you plan dinner around it.
Mountainfilm Stays On The Marina Park Lawn
WaterColor's November events happen on open lawns and in parks, away from the closures along the beach.
Mountainfilm on Tour is now in its 26th year at WaterColor. Each fall it brings a set of documentary shorts from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride to the Marina Park Amphitheater, 238 WaterColor Blvd. W. 30A.com described the setting this way:
"Think blankets on the lawn, tall pines overhead, a big screen glowing after dark and stories from around the world unfolding beneath a South Walton night sky."
You'll need these details from the resort's Mountainfilm on Tour page:
- Dates: Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, 2026.
- Times: Gates open at 5:45 p.m. and films start at 7 p.m.
- Pricing window: Regular pricing runs from October 1 through November 5. If tickets are still available on event day, prices may go up.
- VIP: Limited to 100 tickets per evening.
- Refunds: Tickets are nonrefundable unless the event is canceled or postponed.
That last item matters more than usual this year. The event is still listed on the official page. If the weather or recovery work changes the plans, the resort's event page and its weather update are where the change will show up first.
Friday the 6th makes a full evening. Trivia Night at the Beach Club, 24 Goldenrod Circle, runs from 4 to 6 p.m., and Mountainfilm's gates open at 5:45 p.m. That leaves time to finish trivia, walk inland to Marina Park and still get a good spot on the grass before the first film.
The Weekly Rhythm Picks Back Up At The Beach Club
The Community Association's November calendar shows a steady pattern for the first half of the month, all at the Beach Club:
- Live music: Thursdays, November 5 and November 12, from 3 to 6 p.m.
- Trivia Night: Fridays, November 6 and November 13, from 4 to 6 p.m.
These events use the Beach Club's main spaces, and its main pool was open as of October 22. The infinity pool on the second deck and the zero-entry pool on the lower third deck were still closed that day, so afternoons at the Beach Club will feel more compact than usual. Beach access works through the Mid and West Boardwalks. The ADA Boardwalk is the beach route still waiting to reopen, which matters for anyone in your group who depends on it.
Firefest Brings A Midweek Holiday To Cerulean Park
Firefest 30A is listed for Wednesday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cerulean Park, 45 WaterColor Blvd. W. It is the only late-morning weekday event on the first half of the month's calendar. The calendar listing gives the time and place, and the event's own details are linked from there.
Like Marina Park, Cerulean Park sits on WaterColor Boulevard West, away from the boardwalks and pool decks where the October 22 closures are.
What's Still Being Repaired Is At The Edge
The nature trails were still listed as closed in mid-October, and the resort's October 22 update doesn't include them among reopened amenities. The safest assumption is that the trails stay off-limits until the resort or the Community Association posts that they've reopened.
The WaterColor BoatHouse, which runs paddling on Western Lake, is open during regular hours, per the October 22 update. The shoreline around the lake is a different matter. WJHG reported that Isaias eroded beaches and dunes along 30A, and that the surge topped the dunes in Grayton and filled Western Lake.
The dune repairs will take longer than any pool deck. A second WJHG report on October 17 said Walton County was considering emergency dune repairs with FEMA, with a proposal from coastal engineer Taylor Engineering headed to the County Commission. The county is also pursuing a beach renourishment plan. In that report, County Beach Operations Director Josh Ervin said design for the federally funded project would likely be finished in October of next year, which means October 2027.
WaterColor's inland amenities reopened within days. The Beach Club's two closed pools and the ADA Boardwalk had no reopening dates as of October 22. The county's dune work runs on commission votes, federal funding and an engineering design schedule that reaches into next fall.
In February, the Community Association's tennis notice said tennis courts would stay open while the pickleball courts closed for the rebuild, with "more courts in the fall." As of October 22, the Tennis Center was open during regular hours. The Association's notice is the page to watch for news on the new pickleball courts.

| Fri, Nov. 13 | Trivia Night | WaterColor Beach Club | 4 to 6 p.m. |
Every event on that list is held on a lawn, in a park or at the Beach Club's main level. None of them depends on a boardwalk, a trail or a dune that is still under repair.
The storm affected WaterColor's lakefront and Gulf-front lots differently from its inland streets. If you own one of them, or are weighing a project near the dunes, Anderson Group 30A can walk you through what the county's dune repair and renourishment timeline means for your stretch of shoreline. Get your custom 30A market report and we'll factor the post-Isaias picture into it.
